Yet I Will Rejoice

“Though the fig tree does not blossom, and no fruit is on the vines; though the produce of the olive fails, and the fields yield no food; though the flock is cut from the fold, and there is no herd in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord” (Hab. 3:17-18)

In other words…

“Though my life may not have turned out the way I wanted it to…”

“Though another job application has been rejected…”

“Though I got passed up for the promotion…”

“Though my girlfriend/boyfriend dumped me…”

“Through my car has been repossessed…”

“Though I’m up to my ears in debt…”

“Though on the surface of it all, everything sucks…”

…yet I will rejoice in the Lord!”

It’s a matter of perspective.

Do you really trust that God can see you through this?

You do not need a “great faith in God” – you just need to have faith in a great God.

“The Lord is my strength; He makes my feet like the feet of a deer and makes me tread upon the heights.” (Hab. 3:19)

“So I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” (Mark 11:24)

You will get through this.

Amen!
